Hello Loved Ones, It's me again!!
Weekly update from Marlow OK!!!
Rained today, yeah, we need the moisture, even thundered a little.
Mom is working so much in the yard that she already has a tan!! But she is happy so that is all that matters. Kenneth went wild pig hunting (I think) can't keep up with all the "hunting seasons". Both are doing ok.
Aunt Martha has been sick, sick, sick. Has that nasty stomach virus going around. Coming out both ways. YECH!!
Sherrill went to the lung doctor today, per he and Raymond here is the deal. He is 95% to 98% sure that his tumor is malignant but won't know until biopsy is done. He gave Sherrill 3 choices, he could go with radiation (5% cure rate), chemotherapy (5% cure rate) or removal. Sherrill opted for removal. He goes for his pre-op work & consultation with the surgeon next Tuesday, March 25th. Surgery will be scheduled that day & should follow pretty quickly, probably 1st or 2nd week of April (that is my thinking). He is down to 69% of his breathing capacity (gotta love those cigs! ) and will loose about 15% more with this surgery. Dr. Hughes told him that he could still have a good quality of life with 50% breathing capacity. Sherrill did agree to totally stop smoking but is now worried about gaining weight!! Welcome to the real world, huh!! Will let you all know more about his surgery time when I find out. I mentioned that Trish and I would probably be at the hospital for the surgery, he got real quiet and said well ok, I asked if he didn't want us there & he said well it wasn't that, it was just that he didn't think he would feel much like visiting with us. Explained that we really weren't going to be there to visit w/him, but more as moral support for him and the family. After surgery treatment will not be discussed until hmmmmmmm after the surgery and biopsy are done. Makes sense to me!!
Don't you just love those smiley faces!!! I do.
As for my son, I think aliens have captured him and replaced him with one of them . He and his best friend (Larimie) have been scouting out locations for a garage or shop to start their own mechanic business. They found one today, signed a lease on it. $400 per mth all utilities provided as well as dumpster rights + it has (2) count em (2) bathrooms. It is in the downtown Duncan area in an old car dealership building. They have consulted an attorney who is helping them to draft all of their business papers (legally) (thus the need for a lawyer). They are both keeping their jobs and doing this business on the side (nights & weekends) until their business picks up. The 1 of them will work there full time, while the other continues to work at his job until there is enough business to support both of them. They have even drawn up a business plan, and are now trying to think of a good name for their business. Any suggestions? Do you know what all of this means for me? NO MORE WORKING ON CARS IN MY DRIVEWAY IN THE DAYTIME OR AT NIGHT!! The neighbors may throw a block party. So far just this last week Z has made $300 extra working on his friends vehicles. He is pretty good even if I do say so myself!!
Angela started her new job today, with a salary increase of $2.50 per hour. She is working as a data entry or inventory clerk here in town for one of the machine shops. Same one where Sherrill is working. Game plan is that by fall, hopefully they will be able to move out on their own and (GULP) stay out this time!! As I have told my son for the last few YEARS I have plans for that room. It will make the best craft room ever & then I can put a daybed in the computer room for any visitors.
Well gotta go,
My love to you all,
Lisa
