Randy: ER

3/28 6:11 p.m.

Hello Loved Ones,

Quick update, took Randy to the er today, he was having chest heaviness, chest pain, right arm pain, back pain in between shoulder blades, dizziness, lightheadness, nausea and his blood pressure was at stroke level!! Wonder why? Anyway to make a long story short he is now in Duncan Regional Hospital, 580-252-5300. They are going to keep him overnight for observation. They gave him nitro patch & under the tongue, it did lower his blood pressure, but did not do completely away with his pain. It was not a fun drive for me. At first we thought it was an anxiety attack. Oh well he & I both survived my mario andretti impression!! What that boy won't do for attention!!

I will keep you updated.

Latest update on Randy, he will remain in the hopsital for at least 2 more days. They have called in a cardiologist to perfom tests on him tomorrow. His chest pain remains a 6 out of 10 so it is still bothering him. Haven't had a chance to speak w/Dr. K today but will keep you all updated on any happenings!! He is in Duncan Regional, 580-252-5300.

Randy: Oncologist Appointment

Hello Loved Ones!!

Update on Randy, he has his 1st appt. with his oncologist, Dr. Greg Parker on April 6, 2007. Some strings have been pulled & his appt. was moved up as well as the intervential radiology reading, which means that when he gets to see Dr. Parker, a course of treatment will have already been established and a date will be set to begin his treatment. This way at least one if not two appts. have been skipped. Randy has now moved in with Aunt Martha, so that she can better monitor his eating habits. He had a rough time last week, was feeling very, very weak, lethargic, unable to eat, etc. He has been feeling some better since Sunday and his appetite has returned. This spells will come & go until the cancer is arrested. Well that is all that I know for now. I will keep you all updated as much as possible.

Randy: Progress Report

hello loved ones,

thought i would bring you up to date on Randy's progress, i am so sorry to have to tell you all this but Randy has been removed from the transplant list as his cancer has become more aggressive. he now has 3 confirmed tumors on his liver with the largest being over 6 cm, 1 that is around 2.5 cm & 1 over 1 cm. they have opted to try chemo by threading a tube thru his groin artery & feeding the chemo directly into it. IF & THE OPERATIVE WORD IS IF, they can destroy the 2 smaller tumors and shrink the larger tumor back down to a 4 or less they will put him back on the transplant list. for now his care has been transferred to another doctor who will be in charge of his chemo treatments. no idea yet when he will begin his treatment as the other doctor will have to contact him & that process will have to begin, hopefully by next week. now is when we all need to pull together and support him and aunt martha especially. a phone call would do wonders for their moral. prayers are needed now more than ever. i promise to keep you all updated and hope and pray that my next e-mail will be a lighter hearted one.
