New House in the country.

Rob and I have been renting our house in Ada since we moved here almost two years ago.  This week, we are buying a house on 5 acres southwest of town.  We are very excited and can't wait to be settled in our new home.  The kids are already loving the frogs, grasshoppers, snails, etc. not to mention the deer we saw yesterday.  Kyndal was very excited because "we can shoot deer right from our house."  Her grandpa was proud.

Please pray for a stress-free move.  I hope this is our last one for a while.

We are closing Friday and will be moving that night and Saturday.  So that means I will be without a computer and be pretty busy for about a week or so.  Don't fret.  I will return with more pop quizzes then.  See ya'.

Pop Quiz #18

Pop Quiz #17 Answer:  Dorothy    4/4

I was born in Springtown, Texas.  My earliest memory is having the flu during Christmas.  I enjoyed coloring in my colorbooks as a child.  I went to school in Texas and Oklahoma.  I played softball and basketball.  I like country and blues music.  My favorite holiday is Mother's Day.  I always get to see my children and grandchildren.  I have worked in sales with Daddy on the truck.  If I could have done anything else, I would have been a nurse.  I learned Christianity from my parents.  I am most proud of my children.  I want people to remember me for my personality and christianity in my later years.  The reunion is important to me because we get to see everyone.  My favorite reunion memory is winning the fishing trophy.  Who am I?

Pop Quiz #17

Pop Quiz #16 Answer:  Beth       3/3

I was born in Farmington, New Mexico.  My favorite toy growing up was Sleepy, my little chihuahua mix puppy.  I attended Kirtland Consolidated Schools and San Juan College.  I participated in Choir, Band, and Student Council.  I like all music except hard rock.  My favorite holiday is Christmas, all the surprises and cooking and decorating and parties.  I met my husband through a friend.  The first time I saw hime he introduced himself, and I remembered him having red hair - NOT!  I have worked in secretarial and office management, but I always wanted to be a nurse.  I am most proud of my marriage and my children.  They are all Christians, who are well-educated, successful citizens.  I want people to remember our homelife and parenting as well as our church involvement.  The reunion is important because it is a chance to renew our love and check out our wrinkles and waistlines.  My favorite reunion memories include Otis trying to keep the water swept out of the big room after a huge rain - lightening and all - all the 42 games and wonderful fish fries.  Can't forget Minnie's biscuits!  Who am I?

Oh, Deer. Another One For Robert

Pop Quiz #16

Pop Quiz #15 Answer:  Sierra      1/1

I was born in Springtown, Texas in the front bedroom at the Isbell Home Place.  My earliest memory is Mama calling me in to wash my hair.  I loved my doll that said Mama and turned over would say Papa, I still have it.  I attended school in Oklahoma and graduated high school from Blair.  I participated in softball, volleyball, and basketball.  I enjoy western and church music.  My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving.  Turkey still tastes great and you are not tired from shopping.  Family gathers together.  I have been a mother, housewife, baker, cake decorator, saleswoman, and Weight Watcher leturer, all to make a living so I could eat out when I got old.  I always liked what I did and wouldn't change it.  My parents taught me to go to church, worship God, be honest, and work hard.  My greatest accomplishment is being a christian and raising kids.  I want people to remember my sense of humor, that I was giving, "That little ol' lady, she's a corker", and things I have made or painted.  Family is why the reunion is important.  My favorite reunion memories are playing 42 and when there were about 45 or more of us there.  Who am I?

Pop Quiz #13

Pop Quiz #12 Answer:  Venius   3/3

I was born in Wichita Falls, TX.  My favorite toy as a child was my Pooh bear.  I attended school in Oklahoma and Texas.  I hated high school.  I have my bachelor's degree in education from Sam Houston State University, but I met my husband at Oklahoma Christian University.  I am a stay at home mom and own my own house cleaning business.  If I could do anything else, I would be some kind of therapist so I could help people.  I like all kinds of music but listen to christian mostly.  My favorite holiday is Halloween because I LOVE to dress up.  My parents taught me that as long as you follow God all things work out for the good; to always remember who/who's I am; that no matter where you go or what you do, family is always your safe place to fall; and the best thing I can do for my children is to love their father.  I am most proud of marriage and children.  I hope people remember that I loved God, loved my family, and cared for everyone.  The reunion is important to me because it has been part of me since I can remember and has already become part of my children.  I love knowing my family and want my children to grow up knowing who you are.  My favorite reunion memories are fishing on the lake, children bathing in the kitchen sinks, and making new memories every single year.  Who am I?

Amy Update

Just talked to Beth and Amy.  She is doing much better.  The mucus plug is gone and they are hopeful she will get to go home tomorrow.  There is still fluid on her lungs and she is still on oxygen.  She is getting antibiotics for the fluid and they have turned down the oxygen.  Amy says they are taking too much blood (I told her they are just like Dracula!!!!).....  I think her complaining is a good sign.  Thanks for the prayers and we will keep praying that she continues to get better and gets to go home SOON...

Amy update.....

Amy is going to OKC this afternoon.   She needs to be seen by a pediatric pulmonary doctor.  She has a mucus plug in one lung and they will try to dissolve it or they will have to go in and suck it out.  It was caused by the pneumonia.  She is a very sick little girl and will be in the hospital for a while according to the doctors.   Beth will be staying in with her.  Christopher will be staying with their preacher.  They need our prayers and well wishes.

Amy is doing a little better.  The doctors are still concerned about the lung that is trying to collapse.  They are doing another Cat scan to see what is going on.  She doesn't seem to be moving the air at the bottom of that lung.  She is in Comanche Memorial.  Continued prayers, please......

Please pray for "little" Amy

Beth took Amy to the ER tonight.  She was complaining that her chest hurt and she couldn't breathe.   They found she had pneumonia in one lung and the other was trying to collapse.  They are taking her from the base hospital to Comanche Memorial tonight and if they can't treat her at CM, they will take her to Children's hospital in Oklahoma City.  Please pray for her and for Beth.  (Christopher too).

Pop Quiz #8

Pop Quiz #7 Answer:  Kyndal Boo    5/5

I was born in Amarillo, Texas.  I attended elementary through high school in Dumas, Texas.  I graduated from West Texas A&M University with a degree in Finance.  I enjoyed band and basketball in school.  I like different kinds of music:  classical, 50's rock and roll, 80's rock and roll, classic Disney, Gospel (acapella), and Barbershop.  My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, family and no gifts.  I met my spouse in June 1998 in bible class.  I am a financial business analyst, but if I could do anything else I would be a local preacher.  Obtaining a full-time preaching job is my most proud accomplishment.  My parents taught me to love God and His word.  I want people to remember that I always put God first in everything I do and I love and care for my family the best I can.  The reunion is important for family bonding.  My family doesn't ever get together nor do most people I speak to.  I share this experience with everyone I can, and they think (rightly so) that it is a very special thing to do.  My favorite reunion memories are winning the fishing trophy the 1st time with a 6.2 pound walleye and learning to play 42 from EV, Russell, and others.  Who am I?
