From Lisa 10/14/08

I emailed Aunt Lisa to check on her after her dr's appt. Here is her response.

Thank you so much sweetie, basically the specialist has no idea what is wrong w/me. I have her stumped!! She is running A LOT of blood work & waiting for the results on that. She said I really don't have enough symptoms of any one thing to be diagnosed with. And get this if the blood work doesn't come back abnormal, she doesn't even want to see me again. I talked to Dr. Sabedra yesterday and he said he wasn't surprised, but at least it isn't something life threatening in his opinion. I just know it hurts when I stop talking my Aleve for more than a day or two. Trish went with me & every time she (by the way the doc's name was Amy Schultz and she even looked like you, so I felt comfortable w/her right away) would ask me about a symptom that would have been related to lupus, I would answer no & Trish would answer yes. So we got Trish diagnosed but not me!! She did mention steroid shots but wasn't positive about that. I would like to avoid those if possible as steroids make you gain weight and I don't need any more help in that area AT ALL!! Had a not so feel good weekend and now have fever blisters. Really hate those but for now we know ummmmmmmmmm, nothing!!

Mom on the other hand is falling almost 2 to 3 times per week. Has no short term memory at all and is falling into her winter depression b/c she can't get outside daily. She really has me concerned more than usual, especially since Kenneth's hunting season is starting. Guess she will be staying w/me or I will be staying w/her while he is gone for weeks at a time. To be truthful I dread it but will do it b/c I love her. I dread the inconvenience of it all.

Uncle Fred's prostate cancer has returned and as far as I know they haven't decided on another course of treatment yet or if there are any others available.

Trish called me last night and told me that she just got off the phone with Aunt Bev and she is coming down to spend Christmas with us. She will get here on Dec 19th and leave on Jan 4th. We really wish she would move down here permanently. It would be so nice to have her here.

I posted Tanner & Trinity's birthday party pics on the Wal-Mart site in our family room if anyone wants to look at them. Went thru the reunion pics again just for a good smile and it worked. Family always helps.

The newlyweds are doing ok but Sarah has been diagnosed with a ovarian cyst and it is really causing her A LOT of pain. Heard her crying last night with it again. Had her to the doc yesterday and he said it is basically the size of her ovary. They are trying to shrink it with birth control pills but if that doesn't work or if it doesn't drain on it's own, they will have to go in & drain it. They are so good together, it is a pleasure to be around them.

Well guess I will go, would you post this on the blog for me sweetie.
Thanks and I love you bunches!!
