Bye, Bye Gallbladder

Amanda had her gallbladder removed today. She went to the ER with pain last night, spent the night in the hospital, then had an ultrasound this morning. They told her she could go home and eat a low-fat diet and return sooner rather than later OR she could have the surgery this morning. She opted for the latter. Everything went well and she is recovery in the hospital until all her "levels" are normal. She was able to have the surgery laproscoptically so that is a plus. We will let you all know when she goes home. Hopefully, she will be up and at 'em by the reunion.

Update from Lisa 4/1/08

Here is a quick update on Sherrill:

He is at home, feeling sore of course. Said that his incision under his arm looks like it is about 12 inches long. Never had anything hurt as bad as when they pulled the last tube out of his chest today. Is not allowed to drive while he is on the pain meds. Unable to lift or move anything heavier than a full fork or the tv remote for the next 3 weeks and than can go back to work ONLY if he behaves himself. This is all from Aunt Martha and subject to change upon talking to Sherrill!!

Mom and Pop continue to be workaholics in their yard but it keeps them healthy and happy.

Reunion is only 1 mth away and I am still changing my dishes to bring on a daily basis. What is written in stone are the bacon wrapped little smokies (rest easy Stephen, Aunt Lisa won't let you down on that one) and the earthquake cake. Rest is up in the air until I go grocery shopping right before. Depends on what is on sale and what I feel like trying to accomplish.

My love to you all,
Lisa

Go Fly A Kite

I often sit and wish that I
Could be a kite up in the sky,
And ride upon the wind and go
Whichever way I chanced to blow.
